By accessing or using Pitch, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not
agree to these terms, please do not use the service.
2. Description of Service
Pitch is a social music discovery platform where users:
- Select and "lock" 5 songs each week
- Discover friends' music selections through daily playlists
- Connect with friends and share music preferences
- Export playlists to third-party services like Spotify
3. User Accounts
- You must provide a valid phone number to create an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Pitch
- One account per phone number
- You may not impersonate others or create fake accounts
4. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Upload inappropriate or offensive content
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service
- Use automated tools to access or interact with the service
- Interfere with or disrupt the service
5. Content and Intellectual Property
- Your Content: You retain ownership of your profile information and music selections
- Music Data: Music metadata and previews are provided by third-party services (Deezer, Spotify)
- Our Content: The Pitch app, including its design, features, and code, is owned by Pitch and protected by copyright
6. Third-Party Services
Pitch integrates with third-party services (Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music, etc.). Your use of these services
is subject to their respective terms and conditions.
6a. Spotify Integration
Pitch uses Spotify's API to create curated playlists for music discovery. By using the "Open in Spotify" feature, you understand and agree that:
- Pitch-Owned Playlists: When you tap "Open in Spotify," you are viewing a Pitch-curated public playlist. Pitch does not create playlists in your personal Spotify account.
- No Account Access: Pitch does not access, read, or modify your personal Spotify account, library, or playlists.
- Your Choice: You may choose to follow, save, or add songs from Pitch playlists to your own Spotify library using Spotify's native features.
- Spotify Terms Apply: Your use of Spotify is subject to Spotify's Terms of Service.
- Ephemeral Playlists: Pitch-curated playlists are temporary and may be removed or updated at any time.
Spotify® is a registered trademark of Spotify AB. Pitch is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Spotify.
7. Privacy
Your use of Pitch is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
Please review it to understand how we collect and use your information.
8. SMS Communications
By using Pitch, you consent to receive SMS messages for account verification. Standard message
and data rates may apply. See our SMS Policy for more details.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these terms
or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings.
10. Disclaimers
Pitch is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the service
will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pitch shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental,
special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
12. Changes to Terms
We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes
acceptance of the new terms.
